Jared Leto goes Chapter 26

A bit of background -- Chapter 27 (Release Date :: TBD 2007) is a film about Mark David Chapman in the days leading up to the infamous murder of former Beatle John Lennon.

Earlier in the morning of the day that Chapman murdered Lennon, Chapman shook hands with the former Beatle and had him autograph a copy of the latest Lennon album "Double Fantasy" just hours before the shooting.

The novel The Catcher in the Rye supposedly "motivated" Chapman to shoot Lennon when Chapman killed Lennon, Chapman was carrying a copy of the J.D. Salinger book.

There are 26 chapters in The Catcher in the Rye, so the title of the film Chapter 27 refers to Chapman finishing what the book started.

Mark David Chapman is still carrying out his sentence imprisoned at Attica State Prison, near Buffalo, in upstate New York.
