Market Days 2009 This Weekend in Boystown

Bombing at World Outgames
Another week, another hate crime at the World Outgames in Copenhagen.Copenhagen police have charged a 31-year-old man with committing a hate crime after he threw powerful explosives at participants in the city’s World Outgames event, public broadcaster DR has indicated in a report.
It would be the second hate crime charge in less than a week in connection with the World Outgames in Copenhagen.
On Friday last week, two men were charged with hate crimes after attacking three gay men attending the World Outgames event. (keep reading)

US Swimmer and Beijing relay gold medalist Ricky Berens tore the back of his swimsuit in a qualifying heat of the 4x100m relay freestyle on Sunday during the World Swimming Championships in Rome. Shortly before stepping up to the starting block, the University of Texas senior leaned down to stretch and his suit tore."I kind of freaked out for just a second," Berens said. British Army Magazine Features Openly Gay Soldier on Cover
This month, for the first time in its history, the cover of the British Army's official publication Soldier magazine shows Trooper James Wharton -- openly gay -- clad in his dress uniform, complete with Iraq medal, next to the headline "Pride."It is the most obvious sign that almost a decade after the military lifted the ban on homosexuality it is finally comfortable with its new clothes.
According to the article, senior British officers have been "quietly" advising senior American officers on how America can change DADT and ensure a similar success.(more here)
