Pee-wee Herman Takes On Broadway
Paul Rubens, who played the character of Pee-wee in the Emmy-winning "Pee-wee's Playhouse," reprises his cinema personage in a play opening Tuesday in New York's Stephen Sondheim theater, The New York Post reported.
Rubens' Saturday-morning children's program wasn't renewed when its four-year run ended in 1990 because of an "indecent exposure" charge against him in 1991, the newspaper said.
Now, following a 20-year hiatus, the 58-year-old Ruben and his Pee-wee persona are starring in a big-budget live version of his comedy act. The play is a combined version of the children's show and an earlier, adult-oriented Home Box Office special, "The Pee-wee Herman Show," the report said.(keep reading)

Batman Sequel Named ‘Dark Knight Rises’
The next Batman sequel has a title: “The Dark Knight Rises.”A spokeswoman for director Christopher Nolan confirmed the title for the filmmaker’s third adventure about the DC Comics vigilante hero, which follows “Batman Begins” in 2005 and “The Dark Knight” in 2008.
“The Dark Knight Rises” is due in theaters in 2012.
Bucking Hollywood’s current wave of 3-D movies, Nolan is not planning to shoot the film in 3-D.(keep reading)

Arkansas School Board Member Clint McCance Wants Gays Dead
While schools across the country are taking action against bullying and suicide, a board member of an Arkansas school district is encouraging "queers" and "fags" to kill themselves on his Facebook page.Clint McCance is a board member of the Midland school district in east Arkansas. Responding to the purple shirts worn by many on Wednesday to support LGBT youth, McCance wrote the following message on his Facebook page,
"Seriously they want me to wear purple because five queers killed themselves. The only way im wearin it for them is if they all commit suicide. I cant believe the people of this world have gotten this stupid. We are honoring the fact that they sinned and killed thereselves because of their sin. REALLY PEOPLE." (keep reading)
