Obama to Party: Don’t ‘Run for the Hills’

Since taking office a little over a year ago, Obama's approval ratings have dropped significantly according to recent polls.
President Obama vowed Wednesday night not to give up on his ambitious legislative agenda, using his first State of the Union address to chastise Republicans for working in lock-step against him and to warn Democrats to stiffen their political spines.(NYT & AP)

Zelda Rubinstein Star of `Poltergeist` & AIDS Activist Dies at 76
Actress and HIV activist Zelda Rubinstein has died at the age of 76.
Zelda was best known for her roles in the Poltergeist movie were she declared "this house is clean!" and the TV series Picket Fences...Oh! and in `Sixteen Candles`as the church organist.
She will be missed by the LGBT community in Los Angeles for being one of the first celebrities back in the mid-80s to participate in an HIV/AIDS campaign before it became fashionable.

eHarmony Settles Gay Discrimination Suit
The online dating service eHarmony has agreed to settle a California lawsuit that claimed it discriminated against homosexuals.
Under a proposed settlement filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, eHarmony will link its straight and gay Web sites and allow people to use both without paying double fees.
Plaintiff’s attorney Todd Schneider says the company also agreed to pay about $500,000 to an estimated 150 Californians to settle the class-action suit, plus around $1.5 million in court and attorney’s fees. A judge must approve the settlement. (source)

Tim Tebow's Personal Jesus Super Bowl Ad
Tim Tebow is in Mobile, AL this week preparing for Saturday's Senior Bowl, but one of the topics of discussion surrounding him so far is the pro-family Super Bowl ad Tebow will appear in during the Feb. 7 Super Bowl.
The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner and devout Christian will be featured, along with his mother Pam, in a 30-second Super Bowl ad for Focus on the Family.
A national coalition of women's groups on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, called on CBS to scrap its plan to broadcast an ad during the Super Bowl which critics say is likely to convey an anti-abortion message.(keep reading)

Richard Gasquet : Ouch
Gasquet dived to make a return to the Russian Youzhny at thethe 2010 Australian Open at Melbourne Park on January 20, 2010 in Melbourne, Australia.
Gasquet, a Frenchman, won the first two sets but dropped the next three and was eliminated in a match that lasted 4 hours 53 minutes.
