The long-term partner of the late gay icon Freddie Mercury has been laid to rest in his native Ireland.Jim Hutton (pictured with Mercury), who lived with Mercury for the last six years of the Queen lead singer’s life, was buried in the town of Carlow where he had lived for the last few years.
Mercury died of AIDS-related broncho-pneumonia in his London home in 1991 with Hutton at his bed-side.
Hutton, who was also HIV-positive, passed away after a battle with cancer. Independent reports.
Hutton died just three days short of his 61st birthday.(source)
