Obama Courts the Gay Vote
Democratic presidential frontrunner Barack Obama appealed for support Thursday from the LGBT community but maintained his opposition to same-sex marriage, preferring instead civil unions.
In what his campaign called an open letter to the gay community Obama touted his support for passage of the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Act and an inclusive ENDA.
"In the U.S. Senate, I have co-sponsored bills that would equalize tax treatment for same-sex couples and provide benefits to domestic partners of federal employees," the letter said.(keep reading)

Madonna's New Album Will Be "Hard Candy"
The title of Madonna's forthcoming album will be Hard Candy, EW.com has learned exclusively. The record, her last studio effort for Warner Bros., includes a track called "Candy Store." Madonna chose to stick with the sweet theme because "she loves candy," says her longtime rep Liz Rosenberg. "It's about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed 'I'm gonna kick your ass, but it's going to make you feel good.'" The album, which features Justin Timberlake on multiple tracks and production by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Nate "Danja" Hills, will see a U.S. release on April 29. The first single, "Four Minutes," will be out at the end of March.(source)
Prince Harry secretly serving in Afghanistan
Prince Harry has been secretly serving on the front line in Afghanistan with British troops since December, it emerged today.
The 23-year-old, who is third in line to the throne, has spent the past 10 weeks as a forward air controller (FAC) in the dangerous southern province of Helmand, guiding fighter jets towards suspected Taliban targets.
The army – which decided last year it was too dangerous for Harry to serve in Iraq – deployed him to Afghanistan on condition that his whereabouts remained a secret, in case he became a Taliban target.
The news of the operational posting leaked out following the breakdown of a blackout agreement with the media, when the story was posted this afternoon on the US-based Drudge Report website.(keep reading)

Jesse Santana is NOT an Escort!
If you ever come across porn star Jesse Santana don’t ask him if he’s an escort. In an open letter to the public Jesse, who most recently appeard in Titan’s Mens Room 3, spoke out about his pet peeve of people assuming he’s an escort.
I can totally understand his frustration although I would assume that people don’t think of him as an escort in a bad way.
I just think that perhaps they lust for him and think that one way to get next to him is as an escort, which let’s face it a lot of porn stars are. Still his open letter is a great read and a great inside into the mind of a fed up porn star.(keep reading)

Deep Cut
Florida Panthers hockey player Richard Zednik, from Slovakia, discusses, during a Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008 press conference, his neck injury for the first time since an accident in Buffalo, Feb. 10 as he displays the scars from the injury and surgery.
When Jokinen's skate entered his neck, Zednik recalled that he felt as if he'd been stabbed. Immediately recognizing the severity of the puncture to his carotid artery, he put his glove to his throat and hurried to the bench. Once he got off the ice, he was feeling weaker already.

the A&F Quarterly is Reborn
Fast-forward to April 5. It is just before 10 a.m. on a Saturday morning but there is a party going on - a "queue party," a frenzy of beautiful people waiting to enter Abercrombie & Fitch's London store.
At least that is the plan, devised to launch (read: hype) the American casual wear brand's latest "hero product." Not an "It" bag or trophy sunglasses (both so 2007).
No, the fuss and fanfare will be for the return of A&F Quarterly, the in-house fashion magazine that was dropped in 2003 after protests about its racy - some critics said pornographic - content.
The "magalogue" - a catalogue dressed up as a magazine and usually mailed free or distributed in retail outlets - is having a moment.
In Uniqlo Paper, there is photography by Terry Richardson, modeling by Devon Aoki and an exclusive interview with the actress Chloë Sevigny. H&M Magazine has bagged Corinne Day, the photographer who discovered Kate Moss, and a Sienna Miller interview, while Abercrombie & Fitch has returned to form with the fashion photographer Bruce Weber (so expensive that U.S. Vogue is said to afford him only twice a year) and no "product" shots in the 200-page hardbound publication.
