Disney Buys Lucasfilm & Plans 'Star Wars' Episode 7
Walt Disney Co. has agreed to pay $4.05 billion to acquire the company that controls the blockbuster "Star Wars" franchise — allowing Disney to exploit the brand through film, television, consumer products and theme parks.
With the purchase of Lucasfilm Ltd., Disney plans to churn out new "Star Wars" movies every two or three years beginning in 2015 with "Star Wars Episode 7. (LA Times)

Anderson Cooper's Talk Show Cancelled
Anderson Cooper's foray into the daytime talk arena, "Anderson Live," will end its run after its current second season.
The show, which premiered last September as "Anderson," struggled to catch fire, and returned for a second season amid a highly competitive landscape that saw the launch of new talk shows from Katie Couric, Ricki Lake and Jeff Probst.
The show underwent a revamp for its second season, including a new name, a live format.

Lance Armstrong Stripped of Seven Tour de France Ttitles
Lance Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned for life Monday after the International Cycling Union (UCI) ratified the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s (USADA) sanctions against the American.
The long-awaited decision has left cycling facing its “greatest crisis” according to UCI president Pat McQuaid and has destroyed Armstrong’s last hope of clearing his name.
“Lance Armstrong has no place in cycling. Lance Armstrong deserves to be forgotten in cycling,” McQuaid told a news conference as he outlined how cycling, long battered by doping problems.(keep reading)

'America's Next Top Model' Adds Male Models
"America's Next Top Model" will be back for a Cycle 20 and this time it's returning with some testosterone. That's right, the next season "America's Next Top Model" will include male models.
Cycle 20 will debut in summer 2013. A specific premiere date has not yet been announced.
The male models will move into the same house as the female models, and the new cycle will include Cycle 19's added social media elements that let viewers vote for their favorite models. (hoffington post)
