well i think it'a a great video and a great remix... and people its just stupid 'cuz they banned this i know its violence, but they not banned all the butch of sluts that show only sex and money. its so STUPID.
I loathed this video. I remember it to this day. It was misandrist and disturbing. It turned me off Madonna for a long time.
That said, it's surprising it was banned given the insane societal lust with violence in the media. We so often censor the body and demonize things that are natural; eg: the breast, healthy depictions of sexuality; but we glorify violence. Appauling.
It wasn't banned in Europe. It was shown both on MTV and VH1 in its entirety. As for my opinion, I think its brilliant. It has a bit of violence, but nothing compared to what we see on TV and in video games nowadays. I think they just wanted a reason to ban her videos over there.
Hey .. when has Madonna ever done anything that fell into the "normal" relm of things??? I thought it was good .. Not only has she shown that she can do anything, but she also is showing that it is not just one sex can do wrong...
I see & understand many of the comments... But ban this video? There is worst on TV! There is a lot of humor in this video too. Very original and lots of subtexts. Pure Madonna, I guess.
