Mozart's Birthday - My Favourite Composer

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791)

Born Salzburg, 27 January 1756.

Age 3: started to play the keyboard

Age 5: started composing minuets

1764 wrote his first three symphonies

1772 appointed concertmaster in the orchestra of Archbishop of Salzburg.

1782 married Constanze Weber in Vienna's St. Stephen's Cathedral.

1786 The Marriage of Figaro - Great Opera

1790 Cosi fan tutte premiered at Burg Theater. Mozart declined an opportunity to compose in London.

Dec. 5, 1791, a few minutes before 1AM, Mozart died of rheumatic fever.

Dead at the age of 35 - penniless & placed in an unmarked grave - no one knows where he is to this day.

Without question one of the world best composers and my personal favourite.
Quintet in B flat for Strings, Duo in B flat for Violin and Viola, Sonata in F for Harpsichord, Violin (Flute) and Cello, Minuet in E flat, Symphony in G minor, No. 40, requiem in D Minor - and we haven't even looked at his Operas.
