Kung Hei Fat Choi - Year of the Dog

Happy New Year Bitches!

A bit late, you say? Actually, it's a bit early.

New Lunar Year 4704 began Sunday, coinciding with the second new moon after the winter solstice and kicking off the Year of the Dog.

So, are you a Dog person?
Here's how it works: The traditional Asian zodiac comes from a Chinese belief that time repeats itself. Each year is represented by an animal name or symbol: Dog, Pig, Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster. The animal signs are used in that order and then repeat every 12 years.

Thus, about one in 12 people are Dogs. According to the zodiac, they are loyal and honest. Because of that, a company in northern China recently announced that it will hire only people born in the Year of the Dog.

However, the zodiac points out that dogs have some bad traits as well: They are selfish, stubborn and eccentric. Whatever your personality traits, enjoy the two-week Lunar New Year celebration.
