Deck crew members watch the Marine One helicopter carrying US President George W. Bush for the commissioning ceremony on the deck of the US Navy aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush, named for Bush's father, at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, January 10, 2009.
George H W Bush isn't the first President to get a ship named in his honor, but he is the first one to board his dedicated ship. The USS Reagan was named after from President Ronald Reagan, but he never got to set to foot on the vessel.
