After more than 20 years of topping charts and grabbing world headlines, Madonna has turned 50.The material girl is one of the best selling female artists in the world, having sold more than 120 million albums and topping the international charts for more than two decades.
But as the queen of pop celebrates half a century, she shows no sign on slowing down her career which is as diverse and difficult to define as the icon herself.
Her latest world tour, Sticky Sweet, kicks off in Wales next week.
