University of Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford has won US college gridiron's coveted Heisman Trophy.
The second-year player claimed 1,726 votes to beat out University of Texas quarterback Colt McCoy (1,604), who finished second.
University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, who had a chance at rare back-to-back wins in the balloting, finished third with a total of 1,575 votes.
In fact, Tebow had the most first-place votes, but still lost out overall.
