Killing in Windsor of Gay Bartender Triggers Two Muders and Canada Wide Manhunt

A swath of Ontario farming country is on alert after police warned that a suspected killer could be on the loose following a double homicide in a tiny South Huron township on Monday.

Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for 22-year-old Jesse Norman Imeson, who may be travelling in a grey pick-up truck. Police warn he is considered armed and very dangerous.

Former grade school janitor and well-known local Bill Regier, 72, and his wife Helen, 73, were found dead in their home on the Bronson Line, between the small towns of Dashwood, Crediton and Mount Carmel, and about 75 kilometres northwest of London, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police Inspector Dave Cardwell said there were “reasonable and probable grounds” to believe Mr. Imeson was involved in the deaths of the Regiers.

A national warrant is expected to be issued today.

Mr. Imeson is on the run from his home of Windsor, Ont., where he is wanted for the death last week of Carlos Rivera, 26, a bartender at a gay strip club in Windsor. Mr. Rivera was found strangled last Thursday in Mr. Imeson's apartment
