Dame Shirley Bassey Auctions Dresses to Support Gay Youth

The flamboyant wardrobe of Dame Shirley Bassey will be auctioned off this Friday by Barnados to raise money for young LGBT people.

From rare Chanel and Christian LaCroix dresses to a signed jewellery case, the 70-year-old singer has more than enough to give away.

The event, called "Hey Big Spender," will be hosted at Café de Paris in London's Leicester Square by Julian Bennett, star of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

It will begin with a champagne and canapé reception, and will feature Dame Shirley-themed performances from 4 Poofs and a Piano.

Actor Christopher Biggins will be taking on the role of auctioneer.

Dame Shirley said: "The outfits and accessories I have donated to Barnardo's hold some very special memories for me.
