Who Killed Natalie Wood?

Nearly 30 years after Natalie Wood's death, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is reopening the case on her drowning, the department said Thursday.

The move comes after the captain of the yacht Wood was on the night she drowned has alleged that the actress' husband, actor Robert Wagner, was responsible for her death.

Appearing on NBC's "Today," Dennis Davern said he lied to investigators at the time about the circumstances surrounding the "West Side Story" star's death.

"I made some terrible decisions and mistakes," Davern said

Wood drowned Nov. 29, 1981, at the age of 43. The three time Oscar nominee had gone on a boat trip to Catalina Island with her husband Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken, her co-star in the then-unfinished "Brainstorm." The coroner's department determined that Wood had consumed numerous glasses of wine before her death.

In an interview with NBC's David Gregory, Davern said he had heard an argument between Wagner and Walken, which was followed by a thump.(keep reading)
