Green Lantern, the latest superhero to make it to the big screen, has topped the US box Office after its opening weekend. The blockbuster, which stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular Lantern, opened to figures of around $52.7m (£32.6m) despite some incredibly negative reviews.
The $52.7 m is lower than was expected by Warner Bros.
