Beaming Up - Freedom Tower Rises
A crane moves the first support beam being places for the new Freedom Tower. Gov. George Pataki, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Port Authority Officials and other dignitaries witness the placement of the first steel columns at Ground Zero.
The first steel beams for Freedom Tower were installed at the World Trade Center site. Governor Pataki said, "Today the steel rises, the Freedom Tower rises from the ashes of Sept. 11, and the people of New York and the people of American can be proud." The first steel beam placed had the words "Freedom Tower" on it

Strange for it to be called the "Freedom Tower", when the US governments response to 9/11 has resulted in the stripping away of American's freedoms.
