Jake Gyllenhaal to be Godfather of Heath Ledger's Baby

"Brokeback Mountain" co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger have become so close, Ledger has asked Gyllenhaal to be godfather to his 4-month-old daughter Matilda.

Gyllenhaal, whose turn in the movie earned him a Best Supporting Actor BAFTA on Sunday, credits the movie with building a unique bond between them.

He says, "Heath and I are best friends now -- making the film was very intense for us.

"I'm actually godfather to Heath's daughter Matilda, which is an amazing honor."

In other Gyllenhaal news, the shirt he wore portraying gay cowboy Jack Twist in "Brokeback Mountain" has sold for $101,100 on auction eBay.
The checked shirt went on sale earlier this month and sold late Monday to a mystery fan, using the handle "hlywdstar," after 165 bids were placed.

The item's original bid was $9.99.

The proceeds from the shirt sale will benefit Variety -- The Children's Charity of Southern California.
