Jeremy Bloom Has to Go!

Excuse Jeremy Bloom for rushing out of Torino Italy next week.
The skier turned Colorado football star turned U.S. Olympic moguls skier received his invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine this week, and will rush home to prepare for three days of workouts in Indianapolis starting Feb. 22.

Bloom skis in the Winter Games on Wednesday and will get away that day if he doesn't medal, the following day if he does.

That leaves less than a week to get in any kind of football shape, but the former CU receiver and punt returner likes his chances in the long run.

"Anything's possible," he said Thursday.

"A lot of it will depend on the combine. A lot of it will depend on the individual workouts with the teams (between then and the April 29-30 draft).

"Freshman camp starts the week after draft day, and that's when I want to be 15 pounds heavier. That's when I want to be running crisper routes, catching the ball, the whole nine yards. I have plenty of time to do that."
