Stay Away from Heathrow

Heathrow operator BAA has requested that no more passengers go to terminals 1 and 3 unless they have a confirmed booking.

British Airways has cancelled 70 of its 130 departures at the airport while 89 of its 133 arrivals have been suspended.

All short-haul flights at Heathrow have also been cancelled and travellers have been told to expect further delays and cancellations "for several days."

Flights have also been disrupted at Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports, while Cardiff Airport is closed.
