Award-winning journalist Thomas Roberts has joined MSNBC as an anchor, effective immediately.
Roberts has appeared regularly on MSNBC over the past year, anchoring MSNBC Live as well as serving as a fill-in anchor for “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” and “First Look.”
Roberts will continue to anchor various hours of MSNBC’s dayside programming.
Roberts publicly acknowledged that he is gay while speaking at the annual convention of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) in 2006.(source)
