The outgoing editor of a Stellenbosch student newspaper on Monday said she cannot understand the fuss surrounding the paper’s latest front-page photo.Die Matie showed two men kissing during the annual "Kiss in the Avenue" event hosted by the University’s Student Representative Council.
Students from the University of Cape Town and the University of the Western Cape were invited by the Stellenbosch Lesbigay Society to support them while taking part in the event.
Some students have expressed their horror on Facebook and said the paper was seeking cheap publicity, while others are in favour of the bold statement.(keep reading)
