More Antigay Comments Towards Johnny Weir

A Quebec gay rights group plans to file a complaint Monday with the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council over comments made at the Olympics by two announcers on French-language sports channel RDS.

The Quebec council of gays and lesbians says it wants a public apology for remarks it deems homophobic from veteran sportscasters Claude Mailhot and Alain Goldberg earlier this week.

The apology is for saying shit like this:

"They'll think all the boys who skate will end up like him," "It sets a bad example." - Goldberg

"We should make him (Weir) pass a gender test at this point," Goldberg said, and Mailhot then jokingly suggested Weir should compete in the women's competition.

Haaa what to say about that maybe nothing...
It's just sad and soooo stupid.
But i think it's a good idea that they file a complaint about that.

And like we say in french :
Quand on est con, on est con!

And well they should apologize for saying these things but it all says a lot more about them than the person(s) they were trying to demean! Small minds, I'd say. Better to not have said it in the first place than to have to apologize and have their words come back to haunt them. - V.
