Microsoft has given $100,000 to the effort to uphold a state law that expands gay rights – the campaign's largest single donation.
According to a filing with the state's Public Disclosure Commission, Microsoft donated the money Friday to Washington Families Standing Together, which is working to approve Referendum 71.
The measure will ask voters to confirm a law Gov. Chris Gregoire signed in May that gives registered same-sex couples the same benefits as married couples.
