Ben Cohen is hosting a testimonial event in London aimed at his large following of gay fans.The former Northampton Saints and England winner's ground-breaking event takes place at The Dorchester in the capital on May 28.
Titled 'BENediction', it is promoted as an evening of fun, feasting and frivolity aimed at ensuring his supporters fans in the gay community play their part in his testimonial.
Cohen, who topped the Gay Icon list in the Sunday Times, left Franklin's Gardens in September after a fall-out with the club.
"The Dorchester event is unique – a first among rugby testimonials," said a spokesman for Cohen's testimonial committee.
"Guests are promised a whole host of treats and surprises making this event a real 'one off' and not to be missed."(keep reading)
