College Swim Captain Comes Out

Scott Jordan, captain of the swim team at the conservative Catholic university St. Bonaventure, 70 miles south of Buffalo, N.Y., came out to his teammates last summer.

In an interview with OutSports.com, Jordan says he came out to his family and a few close friends when he was 18, but remained closeted to his team until this past August.

The sports jock tells how it all went down when he decided to come out to a teammate on the phone:

"Scott, you're gonna get so much ass this year," the teammate said to Jordan. "The girls are gonna be all over you."

"That's not the kind of ass I'm looking for," Jordan replied.

Jordan admits that being surrounded by a bunch of gorgeous, ripped guys in Speedos is pretty much the ultimate tease, but says that even though his imagination may go crazy, he leaves it at that.

He believes there needs to be certain direction within the team, and that if he was to hit on one of his teammates, or say something overtly sexual, it would just cause problems and he'd risk losing their respect.(keep reading)
