Andy Roddick's Career Ends at U.S. Open

Andy Roddick's career as a professional tennis career came to an end Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 5) at the U.S. Open.

Roddick said he would retire whenever his run at this year's Open ended, and it did so in a four-set loss Wednesday to Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina, 7-6, 6-7, 6-2, 6-4. The match started Tuesday night, but rain pushed the conclusion of the match to Wednesday.
