The new Navy assault ship USS New York, built with World Trade Center steel, passes lower Manhattan as it arrives in New York.The bow stem of the ship contains about 7.5 tonnes of steel from the Twin Towers, destroyed during the 11 September 2001 attacks.
The ship will be commissioned for duty on November 7, 2009.
